She/He will independently lead the projects in product generation, CRO services and R&D programs in the Stem Cell Group, including human iPSC/ESC culture, reprogramming, differentiation, and assay development using the iPSC derivatives. Extensive hands-on experience in working with human iPSCs is required. The individual will interact with other internal and external departments for project development.
Responsibilities
- Lead CRO projects independently in Stem Cell Group, including project evaluation, experiment design, data analysis, and troubleshooting
- Perform human iPSC/ESC culture, reprogramming, differentiation, and assay development using the iPSC derivatives
- Evaluate project feasibility, estimate the cost, and execute the project within budget and timeline
- Prepare and update company SOPs
- Assist in training of sales and technical support groups
- Mentor, train, and/or coach research associates
- Represent the Stem Cell team at professional meetings both within and outside of the company
Requirements
- Master's degree with 3+ years working experience in biology, pharmacology or closely related fields
- Extensive hands-on experience in working with human iPSCs
- Prior experience with cell-based assays, FACS assays, and neuronal culture is highly desired
- Proficiency in data analysis and experiment troubleshooting, accurately interpret data and communicate experimental results internally
- Superior time and project-management skills, commitment to anticipating and meeting deadlines
- Flexibility and ability to respond to changing priorities and project directions
