This position will work closely with scientific leaders and Business Development teams to support business growth, develop business opportunities, and deliver the best services to our partners. This position will also work closely with the senior management team to provide support for business growth strategies.
Responsibilities
- Identify potential business prospects in regions across pharma, biotech, venture capital, non-profits, and research institutes
- Work closely with scientific leaders, Business Development team, and marketing team, for new business development and new customer engagement
- Maintain existing and build new business relationship with customers for business opportunities
- Oversee and manage the Business and Project Management team for all related functions
- Lead cross-functional internal/external project team activities to ensure successful collaboration with partners
- Work with management to support strategic business planning
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior both internally and externally that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with company policies and practices
- Actively participate in business development meetings/conferences, and event planning
Requirements
- Master's degree with 3+ years of drug discovery work experience in biotech or pharmaceutical companies
- CRO experience is highly preferable
- Business development and customer management experience is preferred
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detailed oriented, a solid commitment to follow-through
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills, ability to exhibit positive, professional demeanor in all communications
- Ability to work well in team settings, build collaborative relationships with management, R&D leaders, and BD team from diverse backgrounds to provide appropriate solutions to clients
- Proven ability to prioritize and multitask, work effectively with little or no direction
- Ability to handle difficult situations and come up with solutions that lead to business success
- Demonstrated strong leadership, matrix management, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
